UK LOCAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS: PROCESS AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULT
The process of election, including the collation of and announcemet of results in the United Kingdom is as follows:

1. Polling Stations open 7am to 10pm (13 hours voting time);

2. Polling Units Votes are moved to Local Council Collation Centres for counting;

3. Counting of Votes start at 11pm and beamed live on all National TV Stations and computation only takes place at the National Hq; and

4. Election Results are announced within 24 hours from the close of polls.
